Exploring Space in Watercolor
This two-day watercolor workshop on textures and negative painting with Artist/ Instructor Jo Gershman will stimulate new approaches to your watercolor paintings. Students will create a loose-leaf book of 8-10 resists & textures and a larger piece using the technique of negative painting. Intro to Oil Painting Basics
You’ve always wanted to paint with oil, now is your chance to learn it from Artist/Instructor Diana Fairbanks. Watercolor Basics & Beyond
Many watercolor students become frustrated by muddy mixtures and flat, dull paintings. An understanding of color and value can help to solve these problems. A Multi-Media Approach to Painting
Versatile painters often work in a variety of mediums, choosing the material that best suits the image they have in mind. In this class we will explore the wide range of painting materials available to the artist. We will take a multi-media approach to painting, discovering which materials work well together, which don't, and possibly finding new ways to use traditional paints. Students will choose their own subject matter and will be encouraged to loosen up and let the special qualities of the material suggest the final form of their image. Weavings
